Accurate bite registration ensures proper occlusion, function, and aesthetics in various dental treatments, including complete and partial dentures, crowns, and implant restorations. In this lecture, Fernando will take us back to basics and remind us of the importance of recording a bite registration and why we do it.

  • How establishing occlusal relationships, enhances prosthetic accuracy, improves function and comfort and helps in achieving a balanced occlusion, reducing TMJ issues.
  • Application of the reference denture technique to record the patient’s bite and why its important when minimal occlusal adjustments are required and for capturing centric relation accurately.
  • The role of bite rims and the importance of determining correct maxillo-mandibular relationship before transferring the record to an articulator.
  • How the use of the Centric Tray can aid in the ease of recording centric relation and how we can turn an analog technique into use for the digital world
